The program

~/.cargo/bin/socketchat instead; cargo uninstall socketchat removes it. A server set up as a service also has a copy at /usr/local/bin/socketchat.~/.local/bin to your PATH. Other tools often install there too, so leave that in place unless you know nothing else uses it. On macOS and Linux, the installer wrote ~/.local/bin/env and ~/.local/bin/env.fish and a line that loads them in your shell’s startup files, such as ~/.profile, ~/.bashrc or ~/.zshrc. On Windows, it added the folder to your user PATH.
Your profile
Your profile holds your keys, rooms and messages:
Delete that folder to remove them. If you set
SOCKETCHAT_HOME, the profile is in that folder instead.
Server data
If you ran a server, its data folder holds its database, certificate and files:
A server set up as in Cloud server keeps its data in
/var/lib/socketchat instead. Remove that setup with:
/var/lib/socketchat once you are sure you no longer need a backup. Once the server’s data is gone, every room on it is gone for every member.
Files you saved
Files you saved with/save stay where you saved them, usually your Downloads folder.
